colortronic GmbH moves to Isny

Historic milestone within the motan group: On July 1, 2021, colortronic GmbH will move its headquarter from Friedrichsdorf to Isny in the Allgäu region.

The merger of the companies motan and colortronic started already in 2006 in order to use the synergy effects in the product and know-how area. Initially with the motto "The best of two worlds" and with the clear goal of expanding the product portfolio and continuing to expand as a group of companies.

One of the successes in merging the products was achieved by the motan group in 2014 with the market launch of the new METRO G conveying family. "Looking back, today almost all applications of our customers can be covered by products of the 'motan' brand. The integration of control technology into the entire plant also plays a major role," reports Carl Litherland, CMO of the motan group.

Over the past 15 years, the companies have grown together culturally and organizationally to form a corporate group. "However, the integration of the products into the motan portfolio led to declining sales of colortronic products in recent years. The Covid crisis accelerated this trend," confirms CEO of motan holding gmbh Sandra Füllsack.

With the retirement in 2021 of long-time managing director Manfred Raith, the business decision to relocate was made at the end of 2020. Fortunately, some colortonic employees agreed to change their place of work with the company as well. This ensures that the know-how for important products such as the Ultrablend will not be lost.

"Our customers will continue to find their competent contacts worldwide in our sales companies motan-colortronic," assures Litherland. All products have been further developed in terms of retrofit solutions in such a way that the plant can be brought up to date and optimized both by colortronic spare parts and by further developments under the motan brand.
