motan-colortronic China inaugurates new company building
"With the move to the larger 4,600 square meter building, we can now produce all the product lines in China," said Bing Hian Co, managing director of motan-colortronic Plastics Machinery Co., Ltd. China. "These products are intended primarily for our Chinese and Asian customers, but also for those customers who want to expand their activities from a production location in China," he continues. "The Chinese and Southeast Asian markets offer us fantastic opportunities. We want to further increase our market share in China as well as Asia and create new impulses for the motan brand by expanding our know-how", adds B.H. Co.
The ceremonial opening ceremony was attended by customers, neighbouring companies, representatives of the VDMA (German Association of Machine and Plant Builders) and representatives of the city of Taicang. Taicang High Tech Zone Deputy Director Feng Yuliang was pleased to have won motan-colortronic, as a technology leader in Taicang's high-tech zone.
After the traditional "painting of the lion’s eye ceremony" the invited guests were invited to visit the new premises.
The focus was on the modern sales and production building as well as a state of the art Technical Center. The latter is used for testing raw materials handing applications and as a training center for customers as well as their own employees. Suresh Kannan, Managing Director of motan-colortronic Pte. Ltd., Singapore and Head of Special Applications Asia, has the overall responsibility for this.
With the move to the larger building, the motan group is once again expanding its presence in China. motan has been based in China since 1999 with a sales office in Beijing. Another location in Shanghai followed in 2002, and motan has had production in Taicang since 2006. In Singapore, a subsidiary was founded in 1993. From which another sales company in Thailand set up in 2011.
