METRO SG HES

At this year’s K-Show motan-colortronic presented the new Simple Solutions series. A simple, quick and easy to set up and cost-effective series in the usual motan quality for standard virgin and regrind material applications. This includes the new METRO SG HES, single-phase hopper loaders for granules, which will be available in four throughput sizes of max. 15 kg/h to 200 kg/h.

This new range of hopper loaders enables cost-effective and efficient automation of important areas of the production process, which significantly optimizes and simplifies the entire process management. Plastic granules are conveyed to machine hoppers, drying bins or other storage containers and fed to the machine. All units of the METRO SG HES are equipped with their own control, which recognizes when material is needed and automatically starts conveying. This keeps machines running and avoids costly downtime while eliminating material wastage.

The motors are installed directly in the hood of the units and are equipped with a special sound insulation, which significantly reduces the noise. As a result, the hopper loaders are particularly quiet in operation. Constant, reliable conveying is also ensured by automatic filter cleaning with compressed air after each conveying cycle. As an alternative to the standard cloth filter, a filter cartridge can also be installed.

The control of the hopper loaders already includes the control of the optional METROMIX proportioning valve. Thus, regrind and virgin material can be reliably added and mixed. When connecting the METRO SG HES loaders to a suction box with line purging, the material feedline can easily be cleared of any material after every conveying cycle - the reason for this is the already integrated line purging function. When conveying from a beside-the-press granulator, the loader will not immediately start even if the supply signal has been received from the sensor, allowing for the granulator suction box to fill up with a specific amount of material first. This prevents the need to constantly be switching the loader on and off, so saving energy and maintenance costs.
